Guest Agreement

This Guest Agreement is provided as a guide for members of Sea Change Circle when arranging a home swap.

Use of this agreement is optional. All arrangements are made independently between members.

1. Property Condition

The guest agrees to maintain the property in the same condition as it was upon arrival, allowing for reasonable wear and tear.

2. Care of Property

The guest agrees to take reasonable care of the home, its contents and any fixtures or furnishings during their stay.

3. Damage

Any damage caused during the stay should be communicated promptly and resolved directly between the parties.

4. Occupancy

The guest agrees not to allow additional occupants to stay at the property beyond those agreed upon.

Reasonable visitors may be permitted where appropriate.

5. Respect for Neighbours

The guest agrees to respect neighbours and the surrounding community, including avoiding excessive noise or disruptive behaviour.

6. Maintenance

Where applicable, the guest agrees to maintain the general upkeep of the property, including basic care of lawns, gardens or outdoor areas.

7. Mail and Deliveries

The guest agrees to manage any mail or deliveries as instructed by the homeowner, including forwarding or holding mail where required.

8. No Smoking Policy

The guest agrees that the property is strictly non-smoking unless otherwise agreed in writing with the homeowner.

Smoking inside the property is not permitted. Any evidence of smoking may result in cleaning, repair or remediation costs to be addressed directly between the parties.

9. Arrival and Departure

Arrival and departure dates are to be agreed upon between the parties prior to the stay.

10. Independent Arrangement

This agreement is between the homeowner and the guest only. Sea Change Circle is not a party to any agreement and accepts no responsibility for any arrangement.
